Hahaha I’m sure I’ve had at least one but usually my great comebacks come after the fact.

If you could invent a Hallmark card what would it look like
Something comedy related for sure since I’m the biggest jokester ever :)

Night or morning person
Um is it wrong to say both?? I get up early because work requires it but for the most part I’m always cheerful when I wake up. On the other hand, I love staying up late reading and watching movies which makes getting up in the morning a little harder.

Favorite Flavor Poptart
I have two favorite flavors: I love chocolate ones for breakfast and strawberry ones for dessert.

Best Breakfast Cereal
Cocoa Puffs for sure :o)

Favorite Olympic Sport
Running (even though I suck at it).

Review: The Ascended by Tiffany King

The Ascended (The Saving Angles #3)
(COMING OUT TOMORROW: DECEMBER 15th)
Author: Tiffany King

My Review:

Meant To Be (Book 1)
Bare with me on this review.  It is kind of hard talking about this book without revealing spoilers from the other 2 books: Meant to Be and Forgotten Souls.

Let's just say I was a little nervous about this book considering the extremely dramatic cliffhanger that Forgotten Souls ended with.  Oh my goodness this was one of the books I beat my head up against the wall until I got my hands on it! Thank goodness Tiff sent me an ARC! I might have died from the brain damage!  I was so super duper excited to receive this book. I was fangirl screaming all over the place, and Tiffany did not disappoint!  The Ascended was a worthy sequel to the other books, and a fabulous conclusion to the series!

I think my favorite part of the book (that I can tell y'all about) is that Tiffany added her made up language in this book.  If you follow Tiffany on twitter (@AuthorTiffany), you have seen most of these words: hecklebee and holy crow bear.  It was so much fun seeing her in the book through this.

I also really now LOVE the title and cover now that I know what "Ascended" is, and I'm not  going to tell you because that would ruin the purpose of EVERYTHING!

Like I said before there isn't much more I can say without spoiling stuff!  SO I guess what you need to know is if you have started this series your going to love what Tiffany has done with this last book, and if you haven't started this series you need to!

Forgotten Souls  (Book 2)
I'm a little sad it's over, but I can't wait to see what Tiffany King is going to come up with next.

ALSO there is a blog hop going on right now!!! There are some awesome prizes to go with it so check it out!!! (click on the button in the left sidebar)
AND don't forget to come back to My Pathway to Books on December 17th because The Ascended is stopping by my blog!!! with an awesome interview of Tiffany :D

Haven't Started this series yet? Don't Fret! Just click on the Captions under Meant to Be and Forgotten Souls to go to the goodreads page!

In My Mailbox {5}

In My Mail Box, just in case you didn't already know, is a meme hosted by The Story Siren where bloggers can post about the books they got this week!

I had an AMAZING reading week this week! Most of the books that I got "In My Mailbox" I have already read, and I totally recommend them to everyone!  With this said, I must confess that it is also finals week, which is probably the reason I got so much reading done.  This practice would be called PROCRASTINATION, I am the queen of it!  BUT I also blame it on these AMAZING authors who wrote books that I couldn't put down!!! It is their fault! well at least that is my excuse :) I'm sure many of you can relate?? oh please tell me I'm not alone in this! now, after validating my reasons for not studying, let me introduce you to the books that I have fallen in love with this week!

Last week I got Madly by M. Leighton, well once I started I couldn't be stopped! So this week I got the second book in the series. Madly and Wolfhardt

I also got the book I did my Waiting on Wednesday post about, which is Callum & Harper by Fisher Amelie.  It was an ARC for a review and you can get it on Christmas Eve.  My review will be up soon, but in short you guys have got to get this book!

By recommendation of one of my tweeps, I got Sophie & Carter by Chelsea Fine.

I also got Significance by Shelly Crane this week!  I can't wait to dive into this series once finals are over!

And last, but certainly NOT least, I got an ARC of The Ascended by Tiffany King.   I have been waiting the arrival of this book since August 7th of this year!  It's the third and last book of the Saving Angles Series, and I am reading it right now.  Actually it's quite painful writing this blog post because I had to take a break from reading it to write this!  Oh yeah and EVERYONE mark your calendars for December 17th because The Ascended blog hop is coming to my blog with an interview of Tiffany, and you don't want to miss it!  Speaking of blog hop it's going on right now, so go to this page for more details, and learn how you can win this AMAZING book!

"Waiting on" Wednesday: Callum & Harper

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by breaking the spine that spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating.

This week I chose an upcoming release from one of my personal favorite authors...the amazing, spectacular, outstanding, sometimes a little crazy, charming, creative, witty... what was I saying again? oh yeah! You might know her from being the author of The Understorey (which you need to read if you haven't) It's Fisher Amelie!!! *APPLAUSE*

Callum & Harper
Coming Christmas Eve!
Summary (from Goodreads)
Life sucks for orphans Callum Tate and Harper Bailey.

Kicked out of their foster homes because they suffer the 'eighteen disease' with nothing but a hundred dollar check from the government and a pat on the back, they're forced to rely on a system that failed them miserably.

So they sit. They sit inside Social Services, waiting for their social workers to call their names and offer them the miracle they know will never come but they sit anyway because they have nowhere else to go, no other options on their very literal and figurative empty plates.

But as they sit, they notice the other. Although captivated, they each come to the conclusion that life is complicated enough without throwing in a boiling tension that can't ever be acted upon because they're both too busy thinking about where their next meal will come from but when their names are called and both are placed on a year long waiting list for permanent housing, suddenly relying on each other seems like a very viable plan B.

And, oh, how lovely Plan B's can be.

Well, except for the psycho from Harper's past that haunts her and, oh, yeah, there's the little issue that neither of them knows they're in love with the other.

Needless to say, Callum & Harper's life just got a bit more complicated.

“One day, you and I are gonna’ wake up and be alright. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day. One day. I promise you.” - Callum Tate

Callum & Harper is actually on tour right now HERE is more information on that!
Here is the
there are 22 more stops on this tour to come and at all of them you can enter to win a copy of the book! so go check it out!

Also, I got my very first library card! I know I was suppose to have this experience before I was 18, but at least it has finally happened!  I am so excited!  When I went into this awesome brand new library, I looked like a kid in a candy store which seems appropriate since I got so many great "treats."

Review:The Vincent Boys

Author: Abbi Glines
Buy it: Amazon Barnes&Noble
Summary (from Goodreads)
Being the good girl isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Ashton Gray has grown weary of playing the part to please her parents, and to be worthy of the town’s prince charming, Sawyer Vincent. Maybe That’s why she’s found herself spending time with Sawyer’s cousin, Beau, while he’s away for the summer camping with his family. Beau is nothing like her perfect boyfriend. He’s the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, dangerous in ways she’s only day dreamed about, and the one guy she should stay away from.

Beau never envied Sawyer his loving parents, his big nice home, or his position as quarterback. He loves him like a brother. Which is why he's tried everything in his power to keep his distance from Sawyer’s girlfriend. Even if he has loved her since the age of five, Ashton is Sawyer’s girl, so therefore she’s off limits. But when Sawyer leaves for the summer, Ashton, the one girl Beau would move Heaven and Earth for, decides she wants to get into trouble. Stabbing the one person who’s always accepted him and stood by him in the back, is the cost of finally holding Ashton Gray in his arms. Is she worth losing his cousin over?.... Hell Yeah.
My Review:
I think just saying that I loved it would be an understatement!  If you follow me on twitter you probably already know I couldn't put the book down!  I even attempted to put on my make-up while reading this book because I did not want to stop!!! This book had me hooked pretty much from page 1.  Okay so enough about my addiction to this book...now on to the Hotttt characters!
I could go on forever about Beau Vincent! His bad boyness will get any girl hooked! His and Ashton's relationships had amazing, perfect CHEMISTRY! He is everything you would expect the hot bad boy to be plus more!
I also loved all the childhood "flash backs" in this book.  It makes the love stories more in depth, and shows how Ashton and Beau's connection isn't just a fling!
5 Stars
okay so I was listening to this song this morning on the radio, and all I could think was The Vincent Boys!!! so I though I would share it with yall :)

Review: The Childe

Author: C.A. Kunz
Buy it: Amazon Barnes&Noble
Summary (from Goodreads)
Cat Colvin
Average Teenager?
Or Something Else Entirely?
Cat Colvin is pretty much your typical run-of-the-mill teenager. Sure, she’s taller than most girls, has a mane of fiery red hair that’s impossible to tame, is left-handed, and her eyes are two different colors, but that’s where the differences end . . . unless you include the minor detail of her slow transformation into a Childe.
High school can definitely be challenging, and for Cat it’s no different. This is especially true when she’s faced with the daunting task of trying to hide her budding Childe traits as they begin to reveal themselves at the most inopportune times. To make matters worse, her family is oddly dead set against Ryan, the boy she grows to like. But everyone has their secrets: is Ryan really what he seems to be, and what is Cat’s family not telling her?
The Childe is the first book in this coming-of-age fantasy series which follows Cat's life through the twists and turns toward finding out whom and what she really is. Come and take the plunge with Cat into a world filled with mystery, biting humor, and the paranormal.

My Review
This book has wonderfully complex characters and a world that's so intriguing and mysterious you wont be able to put the book down!

I will have to say the characters were my favorite part of the book! I love how Cat (the protagonist) is surrounded by a wonderful family and awesome friends that are supporting her.  This book is written in third person omniscient which was a little weird at first to read.  For me, it took some getting use to, but I am so glad it was written like that.  If the authors wouldn't have let me get into all the characters thoughts I wouldn't have had the chance to get to know how awesome they are, and also it's necessary because Cat is pretty oblivious.  I want to tell you all about the character's awesomeness, but I also want you to discover them for yourself!

Carol and Adam do a great job of enticing the reader! They give just enough of the plot, so the reader gets a taste of it, so they want more.  In no way is this book predictable!  I really liked this because sometimes readers can open the front cover and know what the ending is going to be, and The Childe is not like that!

just to add to all of that the cover is fantabulous and so are the illustrations throughout the book!

WARNING when you read this book your going to want to read book two immediately, but it's not out yet so patience is needed

5 Stars
