The Ascended Blog Hop: Author Interview & Giveaway!

Welcome to My Pathway to Books stop on The Ascended blog hop!

I am so honored to be a part of this fun blog tour Tiffany has set up for her last book in The Saving Angles Series.  She has also set up this rockin awesome GIVEAWAY! You can find more details at the bottom.

I tried to ask Tiffany some pretty random questions since she was a little tired of the typical ones: By now I think we all know what Tiffany's favorite book/movie/life obsession ;) is (It's Harry Potter, if you didn't know).  I hope these aren't too crazy and I hope you enjoy the interview (I know I did)!

Most Embarrassing Thing Ever Done in Public
Answering a question that I thought was directed at me. Eek so embarrassing!

Best Compliment you Ever Got:
Every time someone says they liked my books. It is by far the best compliment ever.

Best Comeback you Gave
Hahaha I’m sure I’ve had at least one but usually my great comebacks come after the fact.

If you could invent a Hallmark card what would it look like
Something comedy related for sure since I’m the biggest jokester ever :)

Night or morning person
Um is it wrong to say both?? I get up early because work requires it but for the most part I’m always cheerful when I wake up. On the other hand, I love staying up late reading and watching movies which makes getting up in the morning a little harder.

Favorite Flavor Poptart
I have two favorite flavors: I love chocolate ones for breakfast and strawberry ones for dessert.

Best Breakfast Cereal
Cocoa Puffs for sure :o)

Favorite Olympic Sport
Running (even though I suck at it).

What Kind of Toothpaste do you like best
Aquafresh is my favorite, it’s minty fresh ;o)

Favorite color nail polish
Pink, pink, pink, pink and more pink Hehehe.

Now for the good stuff the prizes:
1)     Regular prizes (boring): Every 3 days, I will pull the names of people that have left comments on the previous 3 blogs and will do a random drawing for an ebook of one of The Saving Angels books. Over the course of the 24 day blog hop 8 ebooks will be given out.
2)     Grand Prizes (woot woot): For every person that leaves a comment on one of the blogs they will be entered in to win a signed poster of one of my book covers. 3 posters in all will be given out (one of each of the book covers). I will also be giving away a signed set of all three books so you will have 4 different chances to win a grand prize. Extra entries will be given out for every blog you leave a comment on, so if you visit all 24 blogs you will have 24 entries into the grand prize drawing (eek).
Since your going to want to leave comments at all the stops so you can win the Grand Prize I took the liberty to leave all the links below...

Review: The Ascended by Tiffany King

The Ascended (The Saving Angles #3)
Author: Tiffany King

My Review:

Meant To Be (Book 1)
Bare with me on this review.  It is kind of hard talking about this book without revealing spoilers from the other 2 books: Meant to Be and Forgotten Souls.

Let's just say I was a little nervous about this book considering the extremely dramatic cliffhanger that Forgotten Souls ended with.  Oh my goodness this was one of the books I beat my head up against the wall until I got my hands on it! Thank goodness Tiff sent me an ARC! I might have died from the brain damage!  I was so super duper excited to receive this book. I was fangirl screaming all over the place, and Tiffany did not disappoint!  The Ascended was a worthy sequel to the other books, and a fabulous conclusion to the series!

I think my favorite part of the book (that I can tell y'all about) is that Tiffany added her made up language in this book.  If you follow Tiffany on twitter (@AuthorTiffany), you have seen most of these words: hecklebee and holy crow bear.  It was so much fun seeing her in the book through this.

I also really now LOVE the title and cover now that I know what "Ascended" is, and I'm not  going to tell you because that would ruin the purpose of EVERYTHING!

Like I said before there isn't much more I can say without spoiling stuff!  SO I guess what you need to know is if you have started this series your going to love what Tiffany has done with this last book, and if you haven't started this series you need to!

Forgotten Souls  (Book 2)
I'm a little sad it's over, but I can't wait to see what Tiffany King is going to come up with next.

ALSO there is a blog hop going on right now!!! There are some awesome prizes to go with it so check it out!!! (click on the button in the left sidebar)
AND don't forget to come back to My Pathway to Books on December 17th because The Ascended is stopping by my blog!!! with an awesome interview of Tiffany :D

Haven't Started this series yet? Don't Fret! Just click on the Captions under Meant to Be and Forgotten Souls to go to the goodreads page!

Title: Soul Kissed
Author: Courtney Cole
Summary (from Goodreads)
Question:  When your mother is a powerful witch and your father is a soul-sucking vampire, what does that make you?

Answer:  Cursed.

With all the beauty and charm of a Siren, but cursed as a blood-sucking succubus, Empusa longs for love and a normal life.  Neither of these can ever be hers, because the only thing she brings to anyone she loves is death.

Em lingers in the mortal world, hiding from her father and existing in a lonely life.  Until she meets Brennan.  With golden hair and a radiant smile, he captures her heart and awakens it from slumber.

But Brennan is more than he seems.  And in a relationship where life itself hangs in the balance, is love ever really enough?

In My Mailbox {5}

In My Mail Box, just in case you didn't already know, is a meme hosted by The Story Siren where bloggers can post about the books they got this week!

I had an AMAZING reading week this week! Most of the books that I got "In My Mailbox" I have already read, and I totally recommend them to everyone!  With this said, I must confess that it is also finals week, which is probably the reason I got so much reading done.  This practice would be called PROCRASTINATION, I am the queen of it!  BUT I also blame it on these AMAZING authors who wrote books that I couldn't put down!!! It is their fault! well at least that is my excuse :) I'm sure many of you can relate?? oh please tell me I'm not alone in this! now, after validating my reasons for not studying, let me introduce you to the books that I have fallen in love with this week!

Last week I got Madly by M. Leighton, well once I started I couldn't be stopped! So this week I got the second book in the series. Madly and Wolfhardt

I also got the book I did my Waiting on Wednesday post about, which is Callum & Harper by Fisher Amelie.  It was an ARC for a review and you can get it on Christmas Eve.  My review will be up soon, but in short you guys have got to get this book!

By recommendation of one of my tweeps, I got Sophie & Carter by Chelsea Fine.

I also got Significance by Shelly Crane this week!  I can't wait to dive into this series once finals are over!

And last, but certainly NOT least, I got an ARC of The Ascended by Tiffany King.   I have been waiting the arrival of this book since August 7th of this year!  It's the third and last book of the Saving Angles Series, and I am reading it right now.  Actually it's quite painful writing this blog post because I had to take a break from reading it to write this!  Oh yeah and EVERYONE mark your calendars for December 17th because The Ascended blog hop is coming to my blog with an interview of Tiffany, and you don't want to miss it!  Speaking of blog hop it's going on right now, so go to this page for more details, and learn how you can win this AMAZING book!

What did you get In Your Mailbox?

"Waiting on" Wednesday: Callum & Harper

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by breaking the spine that spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating.

This week I chose an upcoming release from one of my personal favorite authors...the amazing, spectacular, outstanding, sometimes a little crazy, charming, creative, witty... what was I saying again? oh yeah! You might know her from being the author of The Understorey (which you need to read if you haven't) It's Fisher Amelie!!! *APPLAUSE*

Callum & Harper
Coming Christmas Eve!
Summary (from Goodreads)
Life sucks for orphans Callum Tate and Harper Bailey.

Kicked out of their foster homes because they suffer the 'eighteen disease' with nothing but a hundred dollar check from the government and a pat on the back, they're forced to rely on a system that failed them miserably.

So they sit. They sit inside Social Services, waiting for their social workers to call their names and offer them the miracle they know will never come but they sit anyway because they have nowhere else to go, no other options on their very literal and figurative empty plates.

But as they sit, they notice the other. Although captivated, they each come to the conclusion that life is complicated enough without throwing in a boiling tension that can't ever be acted upon because they're both too busy thinking about where their next meal will come from but when their names are called and both are placed on a year long waiting list for permanent housing, suddenly relying on each other seems like a very viable plan B.

And, oh, how lovely Plan B's can be.

Well, except for the psycho from Harper's past that haunts her and, oh, yeah, there's the little issue that neither of them knows they're in love with the other.

Needless to say, Callum & Harper's life just got a bit more complicated.

“One day, you and I are gonna’ wake up and be alright. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day. One day. I promise you.” - Callum Tate

Callum & Harper is actually on tour right now HERE is more information on that!
Here is the
there are 22 more stops on this tour to come and at all of them you can enter to win a copy of the book! so go check it out!

In My Mailbox {4}

In My Mail Box, just in case you didn't already know, is a meme hosted by The Story Siren where bloggers can post about the books they got this week!

This week I discovered a library extremely close to my house, and I had a feeling that I should go check it out!  Im so glad I did because look what I found!
I got....
Eve by Anna Carey
The Future of Us by Jay Asher, Carolyn Mackler
Dark Eden by Patrick Carman

Also, I got my very first library card! I know I was suppose to have this experience before I was 18, but at least it has finally happened!  I am so excited!  When I went into this awesome brand new library, I looked like a kid in a candy store which seems appropriate since I got so many great "treats."

I also got the book that I did my Waiting on Wednesday post on, so if you want to know more about VEX by Addison Moore go here.

And last but not least I got Madly by M. Leighton! M. is one of the authors that I met in Savannah, and I have been waiting to read one of her books, and it just seemed like the right time.  Also my best tweep has been wanting me to read one of M.'s books, so I can join her in the awesomeness!

What did you get this week? Leave me a link!
