Charlotte's bio:
Charlotte Abel was born and raised in Oklahoma where she met her soulmate, Pete. She chased him to Boulder, Colorado and finally convinced him they were meant to be together forever. They've raised three kids, two ferrets, three dogs and countless hamsters -- and are still happily married.

She's in love with "real" life and paranormal romance. When she's not reading or writing, Charlotte enjoys hiking, bicycling and primitive archery (although she's never shot at anything other than a target!)

The final book of The Channie Series, "Finding Valor," will be available in Spring of 2013.

Look for "River's Remorse," the second book of "The Sanctuary Series" in late 2013.

Are you as ready as I am for this book? Have you started the Channie Series?  If not what's holding you back!?  And most importantly, what do you think of the cover for Finding Valor?

Sapphire Sun Review

Sapphire Sun by Suzi Davis

Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble
You can't escape the past. You can try to forget but it never truly leaves you. It is a part of who are you are; it has shaped you, it will shape your future. It is the shadow behind you. You can't outrun it, you can't hide from it or deny it - the past will always exist. Who you once were is still a part of who you are today. This, I now understand.

My name is Gracelynn Stevenson. I tried to destroy The Lost Magic. I tried to erase the past. I tried to make things go back to the way that they once were. I failed. And now all the happiness I thought I had found, has been lost to the shadows...

 Anna's Review:

Okay, so I have to say that I have really enjoyed this series and if you haven't read them... you are missing out. I have been hooked on this series since book 1. Book 3 really takes you for a ride. I love it.

Gracelynn and Sebastian have survived the explosion but it comes at a price... They are missing critical pieces to their memories. For example, they don't know who they really are. Davis sure does have a thing for losing memories in this series but that's okay because it just makes it more epic.

Grace and Sebastian find themselves back living with the Jensons but they bring along a new friend with them. David was there during the explosion and he seems to have holes in his memory too.

Even with the memory loss, Grace and Sebastian will go on planning their wedding. Planning a wedding seems to be chaotic but what makes matters worse is that Grace starts to remember more and Sebastian doesn't want anything to do with remembering. It feels like they pulling away from each. Grace knows that something is going on when you dreams of a person telling her to follow her destiny and guide some people with natural power like hers. Grace refuses.

To make matters worse, Sebastian disappears. Now, Grace along with David and this new group of people must work together to find Sebastian before it's too late.

Grace and her group travel to an island where they attempt to watch another powerful group who use their power for evil. This is when Grace meets Aed, a man who is almost as powerful as her. Who is Aed and where did he come from? Find out in the book :)

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and series. I definitely recommend it for everyone.

How It Rolls Blog Tour

How It Rolls by Lila Felix
Goodreads  | Amazon
Despite the odds, Reed Wolfe is making it, by the skin of her teeth. Her dreams and aspirations will have to wait until she can get on her feet. Because right now she’s homeless and churning on a downward spiral.
Falcon Black is existing. Not living, not thriving, just jutting along a path. But when he finds Reed, he can’t resist the urge to help her, lighten her load. But Falcon tends to go overboard, over the line, crossing boundaries he never thought he would and risking her trust in the process.
Can she accept his love or will it end up smothering her?
Review:

Derby Girls + Black Brothers = Love & SWOON

Falcon is like a walking irony. He is so responsible and suit-like (is that a word? am I turning into Nellie?) but then he also has piercings, tattoo sleeves, and a mohawk. I seriously couldn't help but SWOON every other page for this man! He seriously has the best heart ever and his intentions are so sweet. All he wants to do is take care of the ones that he loves which unfortunately for them pushes them away sometimes. I guess lucky for him he finds that perfect girl that really needs taken care of.

Reed (yep that's the girl's name) is really left broken. She was a orphaned at a young age and didn't have much luck in the foster care system. She was left homeless but has to much pride to admit it to anyone. She is also one kick-a$$ derby girl but with Orange hair!

Falcon and Reed have such a great relationship. They both need someone to care for and for someone to care for them. Together they make this book full of clean, swoony romance! You can't help but root for them while they are both holding back their secrets.

This review just wouldn't be complete without me mentioning how I love the family. Everyone has a role and they are all so accepting of each other. They are also so supportive. In Love & Skate Falcon was really supportive of Nellie and they became best friends and now Reed and Maddox are best friends. I mean can you say best brother-in-laws EVER! I can't help but love Sylvia, the mom, she is just the momma bear of the family.

The ending was a little off for me. I felt like it ended really abruptly and I was left wanting a lot more of Falcon and Reed!

Thank goodness that there is a 3rd book because my craving for the Black brothers has not been satisfied. And that teaser of Down N' Derby at the end of the book KILLER! I need it like yesterday!

I loved How It Rolls just as much as Love & Skate and encourage any fans of the series to read this one too and any new comers to pick these up!

On the rink she’s tough, she’s a leader, she’s fast and she’s the epitome of a rebellious girl. But Nellie’s been hurt, only once, but it was enough to make her look at life through different eyes and off the rink she’s a timid girl who loves with no pretenses.
A long time ago Owen Black was betrayed by the girl he thought he loved and the guy he called his best friend. The anguish set off a domino effect of negativity in his life and he never has fully recovered. He meets Nellie Forrester and thinks he can let it go for her.
But how can you love someone when the wounds from your past are still wide open?

Review: Beauty from Pain

Beauty from Pain by Georgia Cates
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble
They agreed on three months...but their love knew no boundaries.

Jack McLachlan is a winemaking magnate and easily one of Australia’s most eligible bachelors. His success and wealth make him no stranger to the complications of romantic relationships and that’s why he goes to extreme measures to avoid the hassle. He prefers simplicity in the form of a beautiful female companion with no strings attached. He arranges relationships like business deals and they’re always the same. No long term relationships. No real names.

It’s his game and his rules. He’s content to play as usual, but when Laurelyn Prescott enters his life, his strategy must change because this player is like none he's ever encountered. His world is turned on its head after he begins a three month affair with the beautiful American musician. Nothing goes according to plan and as he breaks more and more of his own rules for her, she’s exceptionally close to becoming something he never thought possible. His ultimate game changer.
Review:

Beauty from Pain had REALLY high expectations to live up to first of all Georgia Cates is amazing and I wouldn't expect anything but greatness from her, second this book has been in the Amazon Best Sellers since it released so obviously people were liking it, third the cover and blurb you just expect the book to be awesome after that, and fourth my bookie friends kept talking about it, so when I had a free second to read a book of choice (aka not a review book) I felt it was time to pick this one.

And guess what?...

Beauty from Pain lived up to its very high expectations! I was pretty much in love with it from page one. The storyline had be page-turning and I just couldn't get enough! I read this one from cover to cover and it is no short book that's for sure!

Laurelyn and Jack have beautiful CHEMISTRY. OMG get ready for the gushing. She is so amazing and he is just SO HOT. I would take him in a suit or casual wear any day. They are amazing characters and I think you just got to crack open the book to find that out for yourself!

The three month deal is so weird but as a reader you just go along with it to see how it could possibly go and it works for a time but you kind of know in the back of your head that its got to turn into more. i mean these characters are just way too perfect for each other. So you keep reading because you have to figure out how this relationship is going to continue after the three months! And now I wish I was still reading!

Georgia I CANT believe that's how you chose to end this! Like Seriously could you kill us a little bit nicer next time. That was brutal! But I guess thank you for the sneak peek into Beauty from Surrender because I might be knocking on your door tomorrow if you didn't do that. I really don't know if I can wait until May 30th to get Beauty from Surrender! I might internally combust before then!

Have you read Beauty from Pain? What did you think?
If you haven't, Do you plan on reading it?
Any other thoughts?

First Frost Review

First Frost by Liz DeJesus
Goodreads | Amazon |Barnes&Noble | Musa Publishing
Fairytales aren’t real…yeah…that’s exactly what Bianca thought. She was wrong.

For generations, the Frost family has run the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts, handing down guardianship from mother to daughter, always keeping their secrets to “family only.”

Gathered within museum’s walls is a collection dedicated to the Grimm fairy tales and to the rare items the family has acquired: Cinderella’s glass slipper, Snow White’s poisoned apple, the evil queen’s magic mirror, Sleeping Beauty’s enchanted spinning wheel…
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Frost wants none of it, dreaming instead of a career in art or photography or…well, anything except working in the family’s museum. She knows the items in the glass display cases are fakes because, of course, magic doesn’t really exist.

She’s about to find out how wrong she is.

Anna's Review:

I really enjoyed this novel. I loved of DeJesus used fairy tales that everyone grow up hearing. It took the novel to a whole other level. I mean who doesn't like the Brothers Grimm. It's classic no matter how graphic they are.

This story starts off with Bianca Frost finding out that her mother has been keeping secrets from her. You see, the museum they own has all the items from the fairy tales such as Snow White's poisoned apple, Little Red Riding Hood's red cloak, and even Rapunzel's hair. How cool. What Bianca finds out is that all these items are real and are connected to magical world that Bianca is connected to but never knew about.

Bianca finds out she is a witch when her mother is attacked by an evil witch searching for a spell book. Bianca must learn her family history and her magic pretty quick if she is to face her future fight.

Bianca has to learn it must faster than expected and alone because her mother is kidnapped. Bianca now finds herself on journey to find and save her mom in EverAfter. This is where you have a prince come into the picture...Don't get over excited though Bianca likes the prince's friend, Terrance.

This adventure leads Bianca through many obstacles that will finally bring her right to the evil witches door.  This is where present and history will collide when Bianca meets an interesting ancestor.

Will Bianca save her mother? Will she find everything she is looking for? Who knows but it is based on fairy tales after all. :)

I enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone especially if you like fairy tales. :)

Silver Dew Review

Silver Dew by Suzi Davis

Goodreads | Amazon
Just weeks before graduating from high school, Grace is running for her life with her magical and mysterious boyfriend, Sebastian, by her side. An ancient magic has been awakened inside of Grace that is powerful, frightening and barely within her control. The Others, who possess their own dangerous magic, are hunting them, and their only hope is for Grace to learn how to harness her incredible powers to stop them. The answers they seek are hidden within a life lived thousands of years ago, shrouded in mystery, magic and deceit. When their past catches up to them, Grace and Sebastian are faced with a truth that shakes the foundation of their relationship, their lives and everything they thought they knew. It is up to Grace to learn to control the Lost Magic, to right the wrongs that have been done, and to discover once and for all, who she really is.

“Because I’m in love with you.”
“There is no ‘but’, no hesitation. I am sure of what I want.”
“I love you more than life, more than death, more than love itself.”

Anna's Review:
I was so excited to start Silver Dew. It is the second novel in the Lost Magic series by Davis. I have to say I really enjoyed the first book but I think that this one is better. I say that because this one kind of explains more about the story but Davis adds a little more mystery to tease the reader with. Silver Dew also has more action in it and it shows how much stronger Gracelynn has grown as mind and body.
This novel begins with Sebastian trying to teach Gracelynn how to control her newfound powers. Unfortunately, with these new powers and new identities, it seems that Sebastian is finding himself torn between what is the present and what is the past. He keeps thinking Gracelynn is Caoilinn, his first love, from long ago.
Another problem they have is with The Others, who I must say really get on my nerves. They are way too arrogant. I would hate to have them following me because they can also get what they want. Sebastian and Gracelynn are currently on the run so The Others can just want to make it harder on them and then it will be hard for them. In this novel, you find out just where The Others came from, which is very interesting, but I can’t give it away.
What I really love about Book 2 is that you actually get to look into Caoilinn and Sebastian’s relationship, which is the very beginning of their intertwined lives. Something that I don’t like about this novel is named Mags. I really do not like this character especially when I found who she is.
Unfortunately for all their running, The Order (Others) catches up with Sebastian and Gracelynn. This situation actually shows the reader just how fierce Gracelynn is. It’s pretty awesome, I love it! Gracelynn finds herself trying to figure out how to save herself and Sebastian, but what she thinks is the best way will surely surprise you J
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the series itself. I am quite hooked and I can’t wait to read the third book. I definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Review & Excerpt: Shattered Edge

Shattered Edge by A.M. Hargrove
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble
Their trial relationship was meant to last six months, but things didn’t quite work out the way they planned...

Justin Middleton, who has left a string of broken hearts across the state of South Carolina, has only one thing on his mind, and that’s winning Terri Mitchell’s heart in six months. That’s all the time she’s given him...six short months. If he can’t do it by then, they’ll go their separate ways.

Terri Mitchell knows she’s lost her mind when she even suggested this harebrained scheme. She finally thinks her heart is on the mend from her past encounter with Justin. However, when he shows up at her house late one night looking deliciously sexy and irresistible, her iron will to fight him vanishes and the words tumble from her lips before she’s barely aware of what she’s done.

Within weeks, both of them find themselves passionately involved, but when Terri’s brother, Preston, shows up, mysterious things begin to happen, turning their blissful world into something dark and dangerous.

Review

Disaster strikes for Terri Mitchell and Justin Middleton near the end of the Edge of Disaster before they even got a chance to try to have the love they deserve. Shattered Edge is the story of Justin and Terri's attempt at making their own love story.

I'm so glad AM continued this story for Justin and Terri! They just couldn't catch a break in Edge of Disaster and you couldn't help but root for them. The chemistry between them has always been strong but Oh my goodness in Shattered Edge you can cut the passion in the room with a knife. The time they were apart between the two books only made their connection stronger and you just couldn't help telling the characters to just go for it and that they deserved each others love.

Solid 4.5 Stars on this one! I'm definitely between ratings because the fact that I couldn't put this book down makes me want to give it 5, but a few times I wanted the characters to get out of bed some for a little expansion on the plot so I just settled with 4.5!

Anyway back to those characters not being able to get out of bed...this book was HOT SEXY STEAMY. Sometimes I just wanted to be like Oh my gawd please come get into my bed! Can I please get a Middleton brother of my very own?! AM did you hear that? Okay just checking.

BIG KABOOOM close to the end. Like seriously didn't see that one coming at all. I kinda had a feeling things were going too smoothly for too long, but I didn't think there would be such a game changer so close to the end! I can't even begin to describe this one to you so I guess you got to read it to find out!

If HOT STEAMY and some sweaty romance is your kind of book, then you will love it!

and now for a little excerpt to give you a little taste of Justin and Terri...

Terri

My best friend was getting married in ten minutes. I was about to walk down the aisle as her maid of honor and I’d never been so nervous in my entire life. My palms were pretty much dripping water and I only hoped my dress wasn’t stained beneath my arms, because I was sure that about right now I was having massive antiperspirant failure. I had practiced walking in these shoes for two solid weeks at physical therapy. My therapists had convinced me (I actually made them pinky swear to me) that I could do this. At this moment I was quite certain that they had fed me some boldfaced lies. I knew when I took my first few steps, that I would stumble, then my bad leg would give out, and I would go rolling instead of walking down that aisle.
Crap in a handbasket!
I looked at Tana, the wedding director, and she nodded, signaling it was my turn. My grip tightened on my bouquet of fresh cut flowers. I was surprised the damn stems weren’t crushed by now. No doubt my fingers would be green by the time the ceremony was over.
My left foot went out, followed by my right. Okay, I had this. I repeated this mantra...left, right, left, right, until I was up at the altar and taking my place next to the spot where Lexi would stand.
I smiled and I’m sure it reached my ears, because I swear I could feel my earrings tickling my cheeks. Then I forgot the promise I made to myself. I totally blanked out because I was so excited about the stupid fact that I had made it down the aisle without looking gimpy. I let my eyes wander across the altar and damn if they didn’t land directly on him.
Shiz!
He looked like the dude in the Ralph Lauren Polo ad...tall dark and alluring. Dressed in a black tux, he was perfect. Justin Middleton, brother of the groom and best man...my heartbreaking nemesis.  I suppose nemesis is relatively harsh, but heartbreaker isn’t. I had dreaded this day now for months. I should be happy for Lexi...she’d been my bestie since freshman year at UVA. But I was pulling the selfish card today. I tried not to, but everything I did was useless. I pasted a smile back on my face and jerked my head to the back of the church so I could watch Lexi walk down the aisle.
Damn, that girl looked gorgeous. Her dress was really something. I’d never seen a bride where anything close to that. Originality...pure and simple. Her dress had an illusion neckline, making it appear sleeveless and off the shoulders, when it actually had sheer fabric that afforded a boat neckline. The dress was fitted and had fabric beads sewn onto it until it hit mid thigh where it was covered in layers of chiffon and stiff ribbon, giving it a totally off the charts look. And she was getting married in the church every Charlestonian would give their left hand...hell their right hand too...to get married in. St. Phillips was the church on every Charleston postcard ever made. You had to be connected to get married there. And the Middletons were certainly connected. Hell, they were Charleston. South of Broad, blue blooded born and bred. Lexi sure lucked out here.
And Pearce...didn’t he look yummy? Not nearly as yummy as Justin, but girls all over South Carolina would be grieving today because one of the most eligible bachelors, not to mention one of the wealthiest, was getting hitched.  Once again, Lexi sure lucked out. But if anyone deserved it, Lexi did.
Now, I sure wish the show could get a move on, because I would love for this thing to get the hell over with. I only had enough plastic smiles to last for a certain amount of time and once they ran out, I was gonna have to hit the road.  I hated to be so snarky about this, but I couldn’t stand around with this happy assed face when I was cracking to pieces on the inside.
The happy couple said their vows and damn it all, I started crying. Thank God the Tana gave us a list with a bag at the rehearsal last night, which included waterproof mascara and eyeliner, or I would’ve looked like Rocky raccoon, resident maid of honor and side kick to Bullwinkle. Yeah, this was gonna be fun.
Now, I had to look forward to picture time and more plastic smiles. I pulled up my bootstraps and watched as Lexi and Pearce walked down the aisle as Dr. and Mrs. Middleton. Oh good lord, they looked so happy. I really couldn’t help the true smile that formed then, because looking at them made me believe in it all...their love was nothing short of bursting from them.
I heard a throat clearing and looked up to see Justin waiting with his arm bent. I’d been so engrossed in watching the happy couple, I’d forgotten I had to walk arm in arm with him.
Well, isn’t this a crap storm?
I didn’t have time to prepare myself. When I put my hand on his arm, I felt the jolt all the way to my toes. I forced myself to look at my feet, when all I wanted to do was to fall into his eyes...his perfectly gorgeous eyes. Lexi always called Pearce, Smoky Eyes, because he had gray eyes. Well, Justin’s were gray too, but his were the color of the sea, right before a storm hit. Deep, dark bluish gray and every time I looked at them I was pulled into their depths...just like I would imagine the sea as it would call to me.  Mysterious, with things unknown lurking below the surface. That was Justin. Beautiful and sometimes frightening because he made me feel things I’d never felt before.
He leaned his tall frame down to my smaller one so he could whisper to me, “You were perfect when you walked down the aisle, Terri. You made me proud.”
That caused my head to jerk up. I shouldn’t have done that because my eyes landed right on his. And there I was, falling into them...deeply, dramatically, and yes, painfully.
“God, you’re beautiful.” Three simple words that nearly made me cry. I felt my lower lip tremble, but forced myself to smile instead.
“Thanks. You clean up pretty good yourself,” my voice trembled.
He smiled and it felt like someone lifted all the blinds and curtains in the church. The light just entered and blazed around him. He was that kind of beautiful. I knew I needed to get away from him. That’s the sort of effect he had on me.
Suddenly, I was back there again...last March.

“Ms. Mitchell, we’re taking you into surgery. You were in a car accident and your leg was broken. We’re going to fix you right up.”
Car accident? Where was Justin? Was he okay? Surgery? The next thing I knew I woke up again in a room and there were my mom and dad.
Several surgeries later, that damn wheelchair, physical therapy and Justin...Justin. God, why couldn’t I forget him? Things had been moving along so well until that wreck. All those surgeries and he couldn’t stop blaming himself. And then Lexi catching him with those two girls and my heart nearly breaking. Yeah, my leg had been broken and I’d been left with a twisted mass of scars, but my heart was the one that felt more damaged.

We reached the back of the church and were whisked off to the side by Tana and the photographer to where pictures would be taken. I was hoping they could put this thing on fast forward, get to the reception, have a little face time with Lexi and get the heck outta Dodge. That was my plan anyway.
Picture after picture and tons of pasted smiles later (I hope Lex didn’t shoot my ass when she saw these pictures), we finally hopped in the limos and left for the reception at the Charleston Yacht and Harbor Club.
I mingled with some of the guests, and made my way around to chat with Lexi and Pearce for a while, but before long, the throbbing in my leg and the aches and pains, had me hunting a chair. I spied one back in the corner so I walked, or at least gave my best imitation of one, over to it and blew out a huge puff of air when the weight left that leg. I was happy Lexi had approved the long dresses that we wore since they hid the scars that covered my disfigured limb. I absently rubbed it, like I often did, wishing for a huge bag of ice.  They ought to invent Spanx you could cram an ice bag into for people like me. Maybe I could join forces with the Spanx lady and we could come out with Spanx on Ice. I bet those professional ice skaters would love that! We could even make a version for hockey players.
“You must have something terrifically funny on your mind by the look on your face.”
That voice of his made me want to strip off every thread of clothing and run naked through the streets yelling, “Take me, take me!” Crap! What kind of sexy did that man have working?
“I guess so. I was thinking about a joint venture with the Spanx lady.  We could call it Spanx on Ice.”
“What?” he asked, bewilderment clouding his eyes.
“You know...for my leg.”
“Oh.” He smiled, nodded and acted like he was with me. I knew better from his odd expression.  He didn’t get it at all.
“Do you even know what Spanx are?”
“No clue.”
I burst out laughing. “Never mind then. They’re something no man should ever know about.”
“Hmm, now I’m intrigued.”
“Oh God! Don’t be.” The last thing I needed was for Justin Middleton to see me in a pair of Spanx.
Mother of God save me now!

Jordyn by Tiffany King
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

Hand to hand combat training: Check
Cardio and strength training: Check
Daemon hunting: Check
Anomaly: Check

Check, check, check, check...That's all my life is. There's nothing ordinary about me. I'm "special." I know this because I'm reminded of it every stinking day. I can kick a Daemon's ass with both hands tied behind my back. I can run up a mountain without breaking a sweat. Know what I can't do? Get guys to notice me, or hang out with friends like normal people do. I can't just be ordinary because I have an Arch Angel for a mentor who is always breathing down my neck, and a family of angelic Guides and Protectors who scrutinize every little thing I do. Just for a day I want a life where I'm no longer some anomaly, where I don't have to feel like a lab rat.

And then I met Emrys. Okay, so my mentor and family hate him, but probably for good reason. After-all, he is a Soul Trader, and they aren't the most trust worthy beings. But, he is sooo hot with his green eyes, leather jacket and the sexiest tattoo you've ever seen running down his back. And-he doesn't treat me like a project.

I've got myself in quite a little quandary here. Choosing between my responsibilities and the Trader that holds my heart is something I didn't sign up for. Torn between two different worlds, I must now decide who to trust and who to walk away from. What's a girl to do? See what I mean? I am an anomaly. I am Jordyn.
Review:
I was so excited when Tiffany announced that she was writing Jordyn.  I missed her Saving Angels Series and was glad when she was bringing it back with a spin-off.  With all this excitement brought high expectations and Jordyn was in no way a disappointment.  I loved it!

Jordyn is definitely one of my favorite heroines ever.  She's extremely snarky and sarcastic.  Some of the things she said had me laughing out loud at my kindle.  Her existence is extremely hard and confusing.  She's the only one of her kind and can't remember anything past a few months ago.  All she knows is her parents are dead and her Aunt Krista and Uncle Mark are now her guardians.  Despite all that she pushes through and trains with Haniel and literally kicks-butt.

Enters Emrys *sigh* I couldn't help but love him even though we weren't suppose to because he is a Soul Trader.  Jordyn couldn't help herself either and couldn't help being drawn to him.  He's a great character because from the beginning he throws Jordyn's snarkiness right back at her with his innuendos and sarcastic comments.  I love the bantering between them.

Tiffany brings us back all the characters we fell in love with in the Saving Angles Series.  Krista and Mark are now the guardians of Jordyn and I thought it was really neat to see them in this new light of responsibility.  Lynn shares many of the quirks of Jordyn and they become very close friends.  All the guides and protectors are still kicking butt (but Jorndyn can now kick butt better).  AND Haniel still has a stick up his butt.

Read Jordyn! You'll love it ESPECIALLY if you miss the Saving Angels and her paranormal writing!  Tiffany King has killed it again and you don't want to miss her latest book :)

Beyond the Eyes Blog Tour Review & Giveaway

Beyond the Eyes by Rebekkah Ford
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes&Noble | Smashwords
“A thrilling, wholly satisfying first book to a new young adult series. It will keep you wanting more.” –Valentina Cano,  Carabosse’s Library
“Beyond the Eyes is haunting yet passionate. This breakout novel is quick and hip, a saucy must-read.”–Charles Land, Judas Pistol
Paige knows evil exists in this world, but she never imagined it would want something from her.

After a ghostly voice whispers a haunting message to seventeen-year-old Paige Reed, Paige’s life takes a nightmarish turn. Unwilling to tell her friends about the supernatural occurrences happening in her life, Paige feels more alone than ever–until she meets Nathan Caswell.

Nathan is not only hot, but seems to peer into Paige’s soul, evoking a magnetic energy between them that cannot be denied. But he’s no ordinary guy. He tracks dark spirits, and becomes alarmed when they set their sights on Paige.

And then there are the two power-hungry dark spirits who believe Paige can find King Solomon’s magical ring for them, because when her father was alive, he was close to finding it. If Paige doesn’t comply with their demands, they’ll kill her.

Paige is forced to dig deep into her father’s past and unearths shocking secrets about him and his bloodline. With the past and present colliding, Paige is only sure about two things in her life: she needs to outwit the dark spirits to stay alive, and she’s completely and helplessly in love with Nathan.

Author Bio:

Rebekkah Ford grew up in a family that dealt with the paranormal. Her parents’ Charles and Geri Wilhelm were the directors of the UFO Investigator’s League in Fairfield, Ohio, back in the 1970s. They also investigated ghost hauntings and Bigfoot sightings in addition to UFO’s. Growing up in this type of environment and having the passion for writing is what drove Rebekkah at an early age to write stories dealing with the paranormal. At one point in her life, she thought she wanted to be a journalist, and although she enjoyed writing articles, she quickly discovered her real passion was writing fiction. Her fascination with the paranormal is what led her to write the Beyond the Eyes series. Visit her online and read her blog at http://themusingwriter.blogspot.com

Anna's Review:
“ I think you might be soul mates”

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel.  I love when a novel can get my emotions going and there is some mystery to it.  The story begins with a girl Paige having premonitions and remembering another one from her childhood. Soon she will meet Nathan and their relationship will take off.
I must say though…THIS RELATIONSHIP IS REALLY FAST!!!!!! Maybe they are soul mates but I mean wow!!! Within 24 hours they seemed to have known they were in love. .
This is so weird she hasn’t known this Nathan guy that long (about 3-4 days) but she has already broken up with him and wants to WEEP at the fact that Carrie gets teased by Matt and she thinks about Nathan calling her his sniper chick. I mean maybe she could be a little upset I guess but I mean this relationship thing…whatever it is… has only been going on for days not even a whole week. I’m just reading  the words I just want to say,”come on, really, it’s not the end of the world.” But I guess, I also have to remember that I have never met a supposed soul mate so it could be harder than I think. Altho ugh it is surprising, I think it is pretty awesome.  I would love to find the right guy and know he is right that fast.
Nathan gets into a fight with this guy Romulus and All I can think of is MAN, This guy can fight and What is he? What sucks is that Nathan and Paige are at their weakest when they are in “passion moments”. Therefore, they will always have to be very careful right and not just in the “protection” normal teenagers need (If you know what I mean). Very, very precautious in many ways *WINK WINK*

Later on we find that Nathan’s secret is none other than … Immortality!! (Come on, who wouldn’t like to be told they have a choice at immortality?)  Now Paige finds out that she also has a chance to be immortal too. She just has to choose it. So, now the question is will she?
Paige must face many obstacles and finds out more than she could ever imagine about her family.  As the story goes on, the pieces start to fall into place and the picture becomes clearer and Paige can finally put together some of her life and she realizes who her father was and finds out more about her heritage. But, of course, I can't give that mystery away... right? :)
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this novel and would recommend to everyone.
