Book Description:

There’s complicated. And there’s Rowen Sterling.

After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing.

Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest she’d thought was frozen go boom-boom. Jesse’s like no one else, and certainly nothing like her. He’s the bright and shiny to her dark and jaded.

Rowen knows there’s no happily-ever-after for the golden boy and the rebel girl—happily-right-now is a stretch—so she tries to forget and ignore the boy who makes her feel things she’s not sure she’s ready to feel. But the more she pushes him away, the closer he seems to get. The more she convinces herself she doesn’t care, the harder she falls.

When her dark secrets refuse to stay locked behind the walls she’s kept up for years, Rowen realizes it’s not just everyone else she needs to be honest with. It’s herself.

I love me a country romance!  This is my favorite type of story so when I got the chance to get an ARC of a contemporary country romance that happened to be written by one of my favorite authors I jumped at the chance and I definitely wasn't disappointed.

When I first got into the book, it seemed a little predictable to me.  The city girl was falling for the country boy.  Luckily the rich, complex characters kept me reading because in the end predictable it was not.  Don't get me wrong some parts still are but the little twists in the end make it all worth it!

Rowan is the girl that doesn't fit in the country lifestyle at all.  She shouldn't be touching that place with a ten foot pole but her mother basically makes her got there for the summer so she doesn't have a choice.  Little does she know this lifestyle might be exactly what she needs.  The way that Rowen views herself is very sad and the reason that she sees herself that way is even sadder.  I loved discovering that part of her and seeing her grow from it.

Jesse is country HOTNESS!  All I have to say about that is the tight jeans!!!! mmm mmm mmm I could definitely picture them!  He is also a great character that has a little bit of a past of his own.  Despite that he is such a great guy and exactly what Rowan needs!

I loved the other characters almost just as much!  The mother, Rose, was great fun.  She had great words of wisdom and also great humor when it was needed.  The sisters played a small role in the book but I thought they were just precious in it.  I even liked the ex-girlfriend (you don't hear that one often!)

Overall this book was another great read from Nicole Williams that I would recommend for those who love the NA contemporary romances! Especially if you're a country girl like me!

And I end my review with a teaser pic that I made!  I love this quote!

DATE ME BLOG TOUR

Author: Jillian Dodd
Title: Date Me (Keatyn Chronicles, #3)
Release date(s): April 9, 2013
Age Group: Mature
YA Genre: Romance
Tour organized by: AToMR Tours
Tour Schedule
Where to Buy: Barnes and Noble Amazon Kobo
Book description for Date Me (Keatyn Chronicles, #3):
I’m not scripting my life anymore.
I’m living it.
I’m done with the God of all Hotties.
I’m going to give my heart to the boy who I think deserves it.
The boy whose kisses are hotter than molten lava.
The boy who offered me the key to his heart.
The boy who asked me to Homecoming in a big, sexy way.

There are so many things to look forward to.
Parties at the Cave. Homecoming festivities. Drama Tryouts. Shopping trips to NY.
But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem.
I find out that my best friend has been keeping a secret from me.
Not that I can blame him.
I have secrets too.
But, for now, I’m going to pretend I’m just a normal girl.
I’m going to pretend he’s not still out there.
I’m going to pretend he’s not getting desperate.
I’m going to pretend I’ll never see him again.
But, I will.
And this time, I might not get away.
I honestly adored this book just as I have the rest of the series. Date Me picks up where Kiss Me left off. We get to see Keatyn continue to try and figure out her life with the boys fighting for her attention and her best friends helping keep her sane. New secrets come out and there are many more surprises. There are curve balls that we never see coming and some of the character we thought we loved will surprise us (not and a good way) and the characters we already hated (aka evil Whitney) we continue to hate. Readers will probably change their thoughts on who Moon Boy is and who you want it to be. I give Date Me 5 hearts because i didn't think 5 Stars was enough!

About the Author:
Jillian is the author of the That Boy series and The Keatyn Chronicles. She grew up on a farm in Nebraska, where she developed a love for Midwestern boys and Nebraska football. She lives in Texas with her family.

How It Rolls Blog Tour

How It Rolls by Lila Felix
Goodreads  | Amazon
Despite the odds, Reed Wolfe is making it, by the skin of her teeth. Her dreams and aspirations will have to wait until she can get on her feet. Because right now she’s homeless and churning on a downward spiral.
Falcon Black is existing. Not living, not thriving, just jutting along a path. But when he finds Reed, he can’t resist the urge to help her, lighten her load. But Falcon tends to go overboard, over the line, crossing boundaries he never thought he would and risking her trust in the process.
Can she accept his love or will it end up smothering her?
Review:

Derby Girls + Black Brothers = Love & SWOON

Falcon is like a walking irony. He is so responsible and suit-like (is that a word? am I turning into Nellie?) but then he also has piercings, tattoo sleeves, and a mohawk. I seriously couldn't help but SWOON every other page for this man! He seriously has the best heart ever and his intentions are so sweet. All he wants to do is take care of the ones that he loves which unfortunately for them pushes them away sometimes. I guess lucky for him he finds that perfect girl that really needs taken care of.

Reed (yep that's the girl's name) is really left broken. She was a orphaned at a young age and didn't have much luck in the foster care system. She was left homeless but has to much pride to admit it to anyone. She is also one kick-a$$ derby girl but with Orange hair!

Falcon and Reed have such a great relationship. They both need someone to care for and for someone to care for them. Together they make this book full of clean, swoony romance! You can't help but root for them while they are both holding back their secrets.

This review just wouldn't be complete without me mentioning how I love the family. Everyone has a role and they are all so accepting of each other. They are also so supportive. In Love & Skate Falcon was really supportive of Nellie and they became best friends and now Reed and Maddox are best friends. I mean can you say best brother-in-laws EVER! I can't help but love Sylvia, the mom, she is just the momma bear of the family.

The ending was a little off for me. I felt like it ended really abruptly and I was left wanting a lot more of Falcon and Reed!

Thank goodness that there is a 3rd book because my craving for the Black brothers has not been satisfied. And that teaser of Down N' Derby at the end of the book KILLER! I need it like yesterday!

I loved How It Rolls just as much as Love & Skate and encourage any fans of the series to read this one too and any new comers to pick these up!

On the rink she’s tough, she’s a leader, she’s fast and she’s the epitome of a rebellious girl. But Nellie’s been hurt, only once, but it was enough to make her look at life through different eyes and off the rink she’s a timid girl who loves with no pretenses.
A long time ago Owen Black was betrayed by the girl he thought he loved and the guy he called his best friend. The anguish set off a domino effect of negativity in his life and he never has fully recovered. He meets Nellie Forrester and thinks he can let it go for her.
But how can you love someone when the wounds from your past are still wide open?
