Grace Lynn Stevenson is an eighteen year old girl who recently moved with her wealthy, but busy parents to a new city. She’s popular, pretty and rich - what more could a girl want? But deep down, she’s sad, lonely and plagued by nightmares. When she meets Sebastian Caldwood at her new private school, she’s inexplicably drawn to him and his strange tattoos. Sebastian always gets what he wants - he simply has to wish it; but he’s fighting his own inner demons, and struggling to remember a past that eludes him. When he remembers that he is much older than he looks, he realizes that he’s seen many people live and die, including Grace. Once Sebastian realizes his true nature and finds what he has been searching for the past hundreds of years, he also realizes that it is now up to him to protect Grace from the dangers that have plagued them throughout eternity.
Quotes from this book:

“You probably just never noticed me. I’ve noticed you though but of course, who hasn’t? Doesn’t everyone know and admire Grace Lynn Stevenson?”

“Soul mates”

"And I remembered everything."

Anna's Review:

This novel was such a joy to read. It had me hooked from the first chapter. Who is Sebastan? or better question...WHAT is Sebastian? and How does Sabastian and Grace have a connection?

The novel begins with Grace drawing an usual picture in art class and she doesn't realize that she is being watched. I hate when that happens. This is when Grace will finally notice Sebastian for the first time...or maybe I should say Sebastian finally wants Grace to notice hime.

You see, things seem to be easy for Sebastian because he can get everything he wants. Literally. He doesn't really need a wallet because...well...he can just want to find money or buy something for a really really good deal. (I need him when I want to go shopping at Neiman Marcus!)

Now it seems that Sebastian wants Grace but he wants only friendship and to make her happy. Of course, this is a hot guy with an unusul appeal and old eyes, Grace is going to want more than friendship. It feels so right when she is with him and for once she truly feels happy even with the sour attitudes she has to put up with.

Grace and Sebastian will face many challenges that they will have to overcome including remembering memories from long ago. This is the connection that they have and they must remember in order to find it for themselves.

This is a very interesting and intriguing novel and I cannot wait to read the next novel to find out where Grace and Sebastian go from here. I would recommend this to everyone!
