UtopYA Countdown Day 1

Nissa by Bethany Lopez
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble
At 900 years old, Nissa is finally ready to follow her mother's path and become the best Fairy Godmother she can. She’s not thrilled when her first assignment turns out to be a teenage human girl with self-esteem issues, but she knows she has to start somewhere. Her assignment has dealt with bullies since her freshman year and they haven’t let up. If Nissa can’t help her regain her self-confidence her future is bleak.

To complicate matters Nissa experiences all the signs that she's met the being fated for her. This impossibility distracts her from her purpose. After all, fairies and humans aren't meant for each other. How can her heart believe otherwise? Can Nissa successfully complete her first assignment as a Fairy Godmother? Will the fates allow Nissa and Levi to be together? And even if they do, will Levi believe Nissa once she reveals the truth?

Today Bethany Lopez is sharing some of the pictures from her Nissa pinterest board and explaining why they reminded her of the story.

I loved this picture. Although she is too old to be Nissa, I loved the color of her hair and the feeling this picture evoked.

Levi always looked like a young Adam Levine to me. Levi is a play on Levine. I just love his thin, toned body, his hair, and his striking face.

I picked this tattoo for Levi – I think it is my most re-pinned picture.

How I picture Nissa’s home. Beautiful. Peaceful.

One of my favorite scenes is of Nissa and Levi at the beach.

As much as I love Nissa and Levi, I think her brother, Finnegan is my favorite character.

I talk about the fairy headquarters, and I love this image of a tiny door in the trunk of a huge tree.

When looking for pictures of fairies, I was taken by the elegance of this shot.

  2. I'm jealous Bethany! My book Pinterest page needs a little sprucing up- I still have everything under my WIP 'secret' board. Loved these pics and I think I might be partial to Finnegan too!
